Amidst a down poor, I prevailed. I built my first deck despite rain and even hail. Sure, I made three trips to Home Depot in one day, but that's not the point. The point is that I succeeded. And it's pretty freakin' awesome if I do say so myself. Granted, we'll have to see if it holds up. But for now, I'm marking this one down as a victory.

And as an added bonus, I put up a fence so I don't have to look at the trash in my neighbor's yard. It was a pretty productive weekend if you ask me.
